Shirley Kwan With her unique style and great voice, Shirley probably was the only singer that challenged fellow record labelmate, Faye Wong, as Hong Kong's Pop Queen in the early 90s. Rumours of rivalry between the two singers persisted; ranging from accusations of copying the other's style, to their producers fighting over the song selections. Shirley started her career with a bang, thanks to the superhit, "Difficult To Find The Right Lover". In fact, as a testament to her success, Shirley's compilation in the Universal "88" series was the best selling album of the whole series, beating such greats as Alan Tam and Jacky Cheung. Despite the success, Shirley hasn't released any new albums since 1995, and rumours of her comeback have surfaced for the last 2 years. However, there is no confirmation and her faithful fans will just have to wait a little longer before hearing anything new from Shirley.
