Music: Eason Chan's "Live for Today"

Post by Mavis »

There's a reason why Eason has released so many albums in the past few months: his contract with Music Plus is up. All rumours say that he's not likely to renew with Music Plus.
Despite the frequency, Eason has maintained the quality, if not better. This album is led off with track 3 "Hidden from all sides", a ballad that'll sure become a big winner at the year-end awards. Tracks 1 and 2 ("Feeling lucky" and "Katrina") are written by David Tao, and seem to fit Eason very well.

The most interesting songs in the album are track 8 "Take a guess?", a ballad that does not involve love (try to guess what Lin Xi is trying to say in the lyrics), and track 9 "Forgotten lyrics", with Wyman writing those innovative/melodramatic lyrics.

And just for good measures, there's also the Cantonese version (Track 12 "Time goes like a song") of the hit song "Sister brother" and "Last Order" (Track 11 "New Order").

It might be awhile before Eason will decide on his new record label and even longer for his new album, but this album should keep his fans happy for awhile.
