Together with Kelly Chan, Daniel took the Hong Kong
music industry by storm in 1995 with their debut appearances. His first song, "It Takes A Hundred Times
To Find True Love Once", was such a megahit that many called him the apparent heir to "Heavenly King",
Leon Lai.
A successful entry into Taiwan in late 1996 sold over 300,000 copies of his first mandarin
album alone. However, Daniel's career hit the wall in 1998, after rumors of a "breakup" between
him and his tutor/ manager caused Universal to "freeze" his career. It was a tough time for Daniel,
especially in Hong Kong.
Since these rumors have faded, Daniel is once again trying to prove himself as a top-notch singer
in Hong Kong.
