Although he also is a singer in the Chinese entertainment industry, Jackie is better known as one of the world's
best action movie stars since Bruce Lee of the 1970s.
He performs his own stunts and has broken nearly every bone in his body. In fact, while filming
The Police Story, so many stuntmen were injured, that soon no one was willing to work
with him.
In 1994, MTV honored Jackie with a lifetime achievement award for his funny, action-oriented movies, and just
a year later, he made his "official" debut in North America with a world-wide release of
"Rumble in the Bronx".
The movies that followed have been very well-received, and it was to almost no one's surprise
that he was selected as one of Hong Kong's ten most influential entertainers of the 20th
century.
