Mavis Fan Bursting into the Taiwanese music industry in 1995, Mavis caught the attention of all Asia with her geared-for-children, cartoonish album, "The Little Witch's Magical Book", which surprisingly was the best selling album of that year. She has also received attention with the love songs "Tears", "Rain", and "Talking To Myself." Even though the cute, cartoonish image she portrayed early in her career made Mavis successful, she has been phasing into a mature singer the past two years. This change has been well-received by music fans as the release of "Darling" sold over 300,000 copies in Taiwan alone. Mavis composes many of her own songs, and is the first Asian to receive the honor of being appointed by Disney as the Asian representative of "Star of Disney."
