Noriko Sakai Debuting on May 2, 1987 with the hit-song, "Wanting To Be A Boy", this Japanese singer and actress is well-known in the Japanese music industry. In fact, her smash-hit, "Jade-Green Rabbit", was voted 18th of the Top 100 Most Impressive Songs in Japan of the 20th century. In 1997, Noriko released her first Mandarin album, "I Love Mermaids", after having had a few years of Mandarin lessons. This impressed the Chinese music industry so much, that she was invited to the celebration of Hong Kong's revert to China in July of 1997. When Hong Kong's ATV hosted the Miss Asia 1998 TV show on October 17, 1997, in which Noriko performed yet another hit song, "Dress Of Glass", the audience cheered with endowment and big applauses. The welcome by Hong Kong shows that beautiful Noriko will continue to grow in popularity among Chinese music listeners.
