I have a Motorola E815. I used to own one of the original, 2nd-generation PDAs -- the Compaq Aero, the first color PDA at that time for Windows CE. Hardly ever really used it since today's cell phones provide everything I need: contact list, reminders.

For e-mail checking and stuff, I can check it at home and at work.

Now, for IT though, the Blackberries are the most popular phones. SmartPhones definitely are nice -- I would use it if my company assigns me one, but on a personal level, I would not buy one because it's too big to fit in your pocket ;)

Since you have a SmartPhone (I'm guessing), you should be able to get additional software for it to enhance its functionality.

yes, i have more functions then i need mike,

the email function is so useful, my old cell was the same as yours. I used the email function today, i forgot to print the address of one of my appointments today and i used my phone to check the email that she had sent me, saved my day. also the map and directions are so useful also.

i need to this phone because i use to carry around the old cell phone and a old bulky PDA, so this opens spot in my pocket for extra useless stuffs. :D

i have to admit, this whole freelance stuff is not as fun as i thought, any of you guys freelance ?

Yup, having all of that in one device is definitely useful. And yes, getting free e-mail access is also great.

Why don't you like to do the freelancing stuff?

i'm getting new Samsung D807 on monday, it is similar to Samsung T809. it's slim and has a slide.

i was planning to get Razr but too many people have flip phone.

I like flip phones ;) And I would buy a cell phone not based on how many people have it, but based on if the features meet my needs ;)

i think within 3 month or less, i will see my phone in everyone's hands.

i use to like a cell phone with just the basic functions.
