You guys are true photographers! I can definitely tell from the looks of your photos. I'm just the type to look for the cheapest digital cam, yet something with a brand name and good megapixels. I missed out on an Olympus with 7.1 MP going for under $300 Cdn at Best Buy awhile ago.

Ah Goo Goo...This Baby's Been Around Since '72!

I also recommend the Canon PowerShot SD700 IS... I bought one myself recently and it's a GREAT, compact camera when I'm too lazy to bring the big one. Bought it from Dell when it was on sale for about $300 or so. Also bought an underwater casing for when I'm ready to go scuba diving in the ocean ...
mike, you always get the deals of the century !
underwater !!!! scuba diving !!!!!! god, i'm so jealous.
I don't have a compact digicam anymore, i gave my last one (Canon 110 2.1meg) to my dad. Loved that camera, got me into photography, then moved onto film SLR (wasted so much money on learning from what all the modes and setting can do to pictures, had to print everyone to see the differences) and eventually came to DSLR.

How come you got THREE xti's?
It was tough for me to go from the original Canon Digital Rebel to the Canon 20D... the 20D is much more professional and you have to be more precise with your settings. With the Rebel, you can sort of cheat and it'll select the best stuff for you. It's made for beginners, and so I'm sure Canon made it so that it'll produce pictures that most beginners would enjoy.
The way I made the transition was to force myself to use the 20D as if that's the only camera I have. Eventually I got the hang of it -- sort of. hahaha. I still have soooo much to learn and I *STILL* haven't opened the manual yet
I haven't even used the Speedlite 580EX II Flash still!
